Upcoming Accreditation Visits

Saint Meinrad will be hosting its next evaluation for accreditation by the Higher Learning Commission from September 18-19, 2017.

Submitting Third-Party Comments

Saint Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology is seeking comments from the public in preparation for its periodic evaluation by its regional accrediting agency. Saint Meinrad will host a visit on September 18-19, 2017, from a team representing the Higher Learning Commission.

Saint Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology has been accredited by the Commission since 1979. The team will review the institution's ongoing ability to meet the Commission's Criteria for Accreditation.

Comments must address substantive matters related to the quality of the institution or its academic programs. Comments must be in writing.

All comments must be received by August 21, 2017.


The school is incorporated by the State of Indiana as part of Saint Meinrad Archabbey, February 25, 1890, and separately as Saint Meinrad School of Theology, May 25, 1967.

The school is accredited by the Commission on Accrediting of the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada. The following degree programs are approved: Master of Divinity, Master of Arts (Catholic Philosophical Studies), Master of Arts (Theology), and Master of Arts (Pastoral Theology).
