Current Assignment: Secretary to the Archabbot,
retreat master, spiritual direction

Education History: BA (English); MDiv; MA
(English Literature)
Prior Work/Life Experience: 10 years in the
Andes doing every type of ministry; guest and tour master for the
monastery; Professor of English literature in the College; Director
of the Sabbatical Program for the School of Theology; Hispanic
ministry in Huntingburg and at Nativity Parish in Evansville,
Indiana.
Other Interests: I love reading good
literature; listening to classical, Andean, and bluegrass
music.
What Attracted Me to Monastic Life: I wanted a
community life of prayer and work. I studied 6 years for the
diocesan priesthood, but became convinced that I was called to the
monastic life. Next year I complete 50 years as a monk.
