Prayer: What is it Really?
Friday, September 14- Sunday, September 16, 2012
Prayer is the heart and soul of the Christian life. Christians
pray in many ways: in common at liturgical celebrations, in the
privacy of our room, and throughout the day when we feel a need to
connect with God in some meaningful way. We have many reasons to
pray-Jesus taught the need to pray not only often, but always! St.
Paul affirmed that teaching: "Pray always." What is prayer that
"praying always" is practical or even possible? We will explore the
Church's spiritual tradition of prayer.
