The book,The Indiana Years & Between Friends: Plays about Abraham Lincoln, has been endorsed as a Bicentennial Legacy Project by the Indiana Bicentennial Commission.

Fr. Gavin, a monk of Saint Meinrad Archabbey, St. Meinrad, IN, wrote "The Indiana Years" play as part of the 1959 sesquicentennial celebration at Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial. It tells the story of young Abe growing up in the Indiana wilderness.

The play "Between Friends" is the story of President Lincoln's friendship with his Civil War generals, Ulysses Grant and William Sherman. The play was a featured performance during the 2012 season at Lincoln Amphitheatre in Lincoln State Park.

As well as being the 200th anniversary of Indiana's statehood, next year is also the 200th anniversary of the year the Lincoln family moved to Indiana.
