25 seminarians make deacon promises

Twenty-five seminarians studying at Saint Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology, St. Meinrad, IN, made their deacon promises on March 3, 2016, in the school's St. Thomas Aquinas Chapel.

The students are:

  • William Burmester, Stephen Hart, Michael Johns, Ramses Mendieta-Lacayo, Martin Siebold and James Womack, Diocese of Little Rock
  • Kelly Edwards, Archdiocese of Oklahoma City
  • Colby Elbert and Joseph Stoverink, Diocese of Springfield-Cape Girardeau
  • Christopher Floersh, Diocese of Knoxville
  • Br. Linus Klucsarits, OSB, St. Bernard Abbey
  • Br. Stephen Lawson, OSB, St. Anselm Abbey
  • Joe Lee and Joseph Park, Diocese of Busan, South Korea

The seminarians attend Saint Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology, which offers initial and ongoing formation for priests, permanent deacons and lay ministers. The school is operated by the Benedictine monks of Saint Meinrad Archabbey.
