About the Programs

During their high school and college years, teens and
young adults often search for information about their faith. The
Saint Meinrad "One Bread, One Cup" summer conferences and College
Ministerial Internship Program offer a chance for them to deepen
their faith and solidify their identity as Catholics.
'One Bread, One Cup' Conferences
Each summer, hundreds of high school youth and their campus or
youth ministers come to Saint Meinrad to learn more about their
faith and try out ministries they can use in their home parishes.
They learn to be lectors, cantors, sacristans, extraordinary
ministers of Holy Communion and more.
College Ministerial Internship
Program
Helping to guide these groups through the process are more than
20 college interns, from across the country, who come to Saint
Meinrad each summer. These young adults are taught by monks and
faculty of Saint Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology during a
six-week program that strengthens their spiritual foundation and
prepares them to be future leaders for the Church.
Support the Youth Endowment
These programs
were begun with a generous grant from Lilly Endowment, Inc. Now,
Saint Meinrad is building an endowment to secure their future once
the grant expires. This endowment will keep the costs of these
programs affordable.
By supporting this endowment, you will be giving young Catholics
the opportunity to learn more about their faith and their role as
liturgical leaders. Give now to the youth endowment by using our
secure online
giving form. Choose "Youth Endowment" under the "Use My Gift
For" section of the form.
To discuss a gift to the youth endowment, please contact Mike
Ziemianski at mziemianski@saintmeinrad.edu or
(800) 682-0988.
