Br. Lorenzo Penalosa has completed the propaedeutic year at the Pontifical Institute of Liturgy (Sant’ Anselmo) in Rome and received a Bachelor of Sacred Liturgy (SLB).

Fr. Eugene Hensell conducted a retreat for the priests of the Diocese of Springfield- Cape Girardeau, MO, June 3-7.

Fr. Christian Raab attended the Catholic Theological Society of America convention in Pittburgh, PA, on June 6-9.

Br. John Mark Falkenhain presented on the topic of chant and liturgical music for the Oblate Study Days June 10-13.

Archabbot Kurt Stasiak traveled to the Monastery of the Ascension in Jerome, ID, to conduct their regular visitation on June 15.

Br. Martin Erspamer created a large tapestry of the Pantocrator (Christ Seated in Glory as the Lord of Creation) for the Diocese of Orange’s Christ Cathedral in Garden Grove, CA. He attended the dedication in July.

Fr. Thomas Gricoski delivered a lecture in Cologne, Germany, on St. Edith Stein’s philosophy on August 16. He was elected president of the International Association for the Study of the Philosophy of Edith Stein at the conference.

Fr. Julian Peters conducted a weekend retreat for permanent deacons of the Diocese of Toledo-in-America, August 16-18, at Our Lady of the Pines Retreat Center in Fremont, OH. 

Fr. Mateo Zamora traveled to New York, NY, to direct the Oblate Labor Day Retreat August 30-September 1. He also directed the Oblate Day of Recollection  in Lancaster, PA, on September 7.

Br. Simon Herrmann led a video conference on “Life Transitions” for young adults in Denver, CO, who have a connection to Saint Meinrad on September 3 and he participated in a focus group for young adults in the Louisville, KY, area on September 26.
