Administrator of Young Adult Initiative

Introduction
The Administrator is responsible for overseeing all activities and functions of the program with aims to serve people 23-29 years old through this parish-based program. This role will be the liaison with various groups, prepare annual reports, and schedule/facilitate trainings, oversee web content and function, and supervise co-workers in the program.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree, preferably in theology, must be willing to travel, and be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church. 2-4 years' experience in parish/campus youth/young adult ministry preferred.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Serves as primary program liaison with School of Theology Administration
- Serves as primary liaison with Lilly Endowment for this cohort
- Prepares annual program evaluation report for LEI, Inc. in collaboration with Development and Communications departments
- Supervises and evaluates Program Manager performance
- Coordinates preparation and oversight of the budget
- Collaborates with Director of YYAE in guidance of parish cohort selections
- Provides training and guidance for work of volunteer parish core teams
- Oversees execution of all program activities
- Schedules and facilitates two annual consultations with Advisory Board
- Schedules and facilitates cohort support/training opportunities for parishes, clergy, laity
- Collaborates with catechists/facilitators of community activities
- Oversees execution of parish grants
- Oversees evaluation of parish partners and core team staff
- Oversees creation of a parish resource guide to help parishes create a program of self-assessment, outreach, and accompaniment
- Disseminates findings from Phase 1 via print, digital media, workshops
- Create symposia for all levels of young adult leaders to disseminate our findings and spark creativity in ministry with young adults
- Oversees website content and function in collaboration with the Program Manager and Administrative Assistant/Communications staff
- Communicates and collaborates with diocesan young adult ministers at a local, regional and national level
- Collaborates with other programs in the Seminary and School of Theology to inform and enhance their understanding of best practices of ministry with young adults
- Represents the Young Adult Initiative at national conferences
- Oversees ongoing evaluation of the Young Adult Initiative using performance indicators in media, research, current practices
- Creates a plan of sustainability to be implemented as the Initiative progresses
Experience & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in theology
Experience: 2 - 4 years' experience in parish/campus youth/young adult ministry preferred
Skills and Abilities:
- Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church
- Skills for organization, planning, budgeting, verbal communication and collaboration
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal (to include presentations)
- Ability to network
- Creativity, flexibility, forward vision, positive empowerment of others
