Saint Meinrad Archabbey Cultural Events, St. Meinrad, IN, will present a concert of arias and duets on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. Central time in the St. Bede Theater.
The concert titled “La Voce!” will be performed by Jacqueline Piccolino and Timothy Renner with piano accompaniment by Dr. Kevina Lam. The evening’s program will include arias and duets from famous operas by Verdi, Handel, Mozart, Puccini, Massenet, and others.
American soprano Jacqueline Piccolino has appeared with leading opera companies and ensembles across the United States, including Seattle Opera, Portland Opera, and San Francisco Opera. In 2024, she made her Portland Opera debut in a concert of works by Puccini, returned to Seattle Opera as Woglinde in Wagner’s Das Rheingold, and presented a recital at Saint Meinrad Archabbey. Previous performances include Erste Dame in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte with Seattle Opera and appearances as a soloist with the North Shore Choral Society and the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra.
Piccolino is an alumna of the Merola Opera Program and was subsequently named an Adler Fellow with San Francisco Opera, where she made her professional debut as Stella in Offenbach’s Les Contes d’Hoffmann. She is the recipient of several honors, including first prize from The American Prize in Vocal Performance and the Rose M. Grundman Award from the Musicians Club of Women in Chicago. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign.
An active international performing artist, Timothy Renner is a graduate of the prestigious Academy of Vocal Arts (AVA) in Philadelphia, PA, where he was invited to perform as a guest artist in their annual gala last summer. His recent operatic engagements include Moralès in Carmen with Palm Beach Opera, Escamillo in Carmen at the New National Theatre, Tokyo, Zurga in Les pêcheurs de perles with Opera Tampa, and Marcello in La bohème with the Lyric Opera of Kansas City.
As a resident artist at AVA, Renner performed the title roles in Rigoletto and Rubinstein’s The Demon, as well as di Luna in Il trovatore, Germont in La traviata, Alberich in Das Rheingold, the Music Master in Ariadne auf Naxos, and Alphonse XI in La Favorite, as well as a variety of song literature and sacred works. Renner currently serves as the director of music at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, GA.
Dr. Kevina Lam has made frequent solo appearances with orchestras in Macau and Europe since her debut at age 14. She is in high demand as a collaborative artist, most notably with the flute and the saxophone studios at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Before being appointed as the faculty collaborative pianist at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Lam served as faculty at Eastern Illinois University.
A Doctor of Musical Arts graduate from the University of Illinois, Lam studied with esteemed teachers in Asia and North America, including Gabriel Kwok at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and Professor William Heiles at the University of Illinois. Currently, Lam is on the faculty at the School of Music of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
