Matthew’s Advice to a Church in Crisis and Distress

Monday, April 27, 2020 - Friday, May 1, 2020
Location: Archabbey Guest House and Retreat Center
Session Faculty: Fr. Eugene Hensell, OSB

(Priests Retreat)

Matthew’s story carries a vision of the human condition that provides us with a stance toward life, a way to view the world and the Church in which we live. We pray and study the story to assimilate its vision and to integrate the values, attitudes and convictions that arise from that vision. We do not expect the story to give us strategies for concrete action in our unique historical situation. However, even though Matthew’s story cannot directly shape our decisions, it can shape us – the decision makers. This retreat is designed for priests serving the Church in pastoral ministry.
