Whether you’re seeking spiritual renewal, discernment, or simply time with God, our Benedictine hospitality, beautiful surroundings, and guided retreats offer a sacred space to listen, pray, and grow.
Check-in time for retreats is 2-4 p.m. Central Time. Vespers in the Archabbey Church is at 5 p.m., followed by supper. The opening conference typically begins at 7:30 p.m. The retreat concludes with lunch on the last day of the program. A complete schedule will be provided at check-in.

Photography techniques, terminology and equipment can seem complicated and intimidating at first. This hands-on workshop is designed for beginner photographers who want to increase basic photography knowledge and skills and become more comfortable with their DSLR and mirrorless cameras. The workshop will include time to take pictures on the Saint Meinrad Archabbey grounds. A DSLR or mirrorless camera with the ability to set manually is required. Participants should have basic knowledge on how to use the camera. Bring your camera’s manual and comfortable shoes. After this workshop, participants will be able to: understand shutter speed, ISO and aperture and how they work together; utilize depth of field; create stronger images with composition; recognize and take advantage of beautiful natural light; capture moments and emotion in a photograph.
