Biblical Mercy: Matthew's Gospel as an Encounter with Jesus' Love

Friday, January 16, 2026 - Sunday, January 18, 2026
Location: Archabbey Guest House and Retreat Center
Session Faculty: Fr. Zachary Samples

If Jesus is truly the Word who came to dwell among us, then we can truly come to know His unceasing and unconditional love and mercy through Sacred Scripture. We will explore several parables from Jesus' life and other passages from Matthew's Gospel and reflect on how we might more completely accept Jesus' radical love and mercy in our lives. Utilizing lectio divina, the group will learn lectio divina as a tool for encountering the Word of God.
