"If you want to understand the Body of Christ, listen to the Apostle Paul speaking to the faithful: You are the body of Christ, member for member. If you, therefore, are Christ's body and members, it is your own mystery that is placed on the Lord's table! It is your own mystery that you are receiving!" St. Augustine preached these words in the early 5th century. In his Church, centered on the Holy Eucharist as "the source and summit of the Christian life," Christ continues to dwell among us. As his Body, his presence dwelling in the world, we participate in Jesus' mission of atonement and redemption. Retreat conferences will reflect on what it means to be Eucharistic people - as individual disciples and as Christ's Church.
