Dispose yourself to God’s presence more deeply by practicing a form of prayer taught by the 14th century anonymous author of The Cloud of Unknowing. Often called “centering prayer,” it was reintroduced and popularized in the late 20th century by Trappist-Cistercian monks to stimulate conversion and spiritual growth. Retreat talks will introduce this medieval spiritual classic to participants and unpack the spiritual principles that undergird this form of contemplative prayer in the Christian tradition.
