This retreat will explore the Christian call to move beyond judgment and into mercy, humility, and compassion. Using insights from Do Not Judge Anyone: Desert Wisdom for a Polarized World, by Trappist Isaac Slater, we will reflect on the wisdom of the Desert Fathers and the teachings of Christ in a world so often marked by division, criticism, and suspicion. Together we will consider how judgment of others hardens the heart, while mercy opens us to deeper communion with God and neighbor. Through prayer, conferences, and silent reflection, participants will be invited to examine their own hearts and rediscover the freedom that comes from charity, humility, and trust in God’s judgment rather than our own.
