The Longing of God

Friday, December 17, 2027 - Sunday, December 19, 2027
Location: Saint Meinrad Archabbey
Session Faculty: Fr. Kolbe Wolniakowski, OSB

In Advent, we often speak about our longing for God—our desire for peace, hope, healing, and salvation. Yet before humanity ever searched for God, God was already searching for us. This retreat will reflect on the story of salvation as the story of a God who continually seeks His people: calling to Adam in the garden, forming Israel through longing and waiting, and finally drawing near to us in the Incarnation of Christ. Through Scripture, prayer, and reflection, we will explore how the deepest desires of the human heart ultimately reveal the longing of God Himself—a God who desires to dwell with his people.
