Fr. Denis Robinson traveled to Rome to lead a 10-day study tour for the Saint Meinrad World Church Program in June. He then took a mini-sabbatical to London for his jubilee of ordination during July.

Fr. Columba Kelly received the Jubilate Deo award posthumously from the National Association of Pastoral Musicians on July 12 in Baltimore, MD. Fr. Jeremy King accepted the award in his honor.

Fr. Julian Peters and Alumni Director Christian Mocek hosted a gathering of alumni and friends on behalf of Saint Meinrad in Memphis, TN, on July 16.

Br. Kolbe Wolniakowski returned home from a visit to the Abbey of Einsiedeln on August 5.

Fr. Julian Peters directed a retreat titled “Discernment and Conversion: It Goes On and On” for permanent deacon candidates of the Diocese of Cheyenne in Casper, WY, on August 10-12.

Br. Lorenzo Penalosa traveled to Urbania, Italy, on August 21 to attend language school. He then traveled to Rome, where he resumed his liturgical studies at the Pontifical Liturgical Institute in Sant’ Anselmo, Rome.

Novice Christian Lumsden has been appointed in-house guestmaster and bulletin board prayer lister.

Br. John Mark Falkenhain spoke at the annual Religious Brothers Conference in Washington, D.C., in July. The topic was titled “The Hard Work of Zeal,” a follow-up on the keynote address given at the 2017 National Symposium for Religious Brothers.

Br. John Glasenapp traveled to Belgium on August 29 to continue his research for his doctoral dissertation in historical musicology. He’ll be living and working at Ghent University in Ghent, Belgium.
